Our aim is to provide an outlet for those in the Wyongshire community who share the joy of music and love to sing.
We are a community choir (non-denominational), with male and female members, who rehearse on Thursday afternoon (during school terms) from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm in the morning tea room at St James, new members are always welcome. Choir members are encouraged to have input into the repertoire and requests form part of the weekly programme.
The direction of the choir is a collaboration between Lyn Brooks, an accomplished musician and Denise Callaway, a music teacher and church musician.
Our Choir time consists of learning new songs and exploring harmonies, old and new songs, church music (including gospel) and songs with uplifting themes. After our tea break, the latter part of our time is lots of fun. We love to have requests and have many favourites.
We are open to everyone who wants to join us and we are sure that a good experience is the least we will offer, contact us for more info.
