When a disaster such as the bushfires at Dunedoo & Queanbeyan occurs, a Disaster Recovery Centre is established to provide food, clothing, personal requirements, accommodation, counselling etc for those who have suffered loss or are in need. Volunteers from various community organisations work with the Police & Family and Community Services in these centres to assist with the provisions of these requirements.
