Mothers Union (MU)

‘Christian care for families worldwide’

The Mothers Union is a mission agency of the Anglican Church of Australia and part of the worldwide Mothers Union with links to 84 countries and over four million members who share one heartfelt vision - to bring about a world where God's love is shown through prayer and loving, respectful and flourishing relationships.

Wyong Anglican Mother’s Union is run under the auspices of the Newcastle Diocese and has been running in the Parish for nearly 60 years. We knit baby booties and provide “baby bundles” (a wrapped collection of baby needs) to new mothers. We make prayer quilts and encouragement boxes for those experiencing hard times.

We also support Wyong High School students by providing toiletry items and craft items under the care and direction of the Chaplain Jackie McGregor.

Recently MU has expanded its care into the indigenous community as well as to the Mission to Seafarers.
