Today I will talk on “New Beginnings”. There seems to be a growing awareness in society that older people still have a lot to give. This idea may be driven by economics (government wants people to worker longer and be less off a drain on the treasury) but it is also a biblical idea. Abraham, Moses, Joshua and a host of other people started making changes in the later years. Of course you don’t have to be older. Today we read of Elisha taking up the prophetic mantle from Elijah and achieving great things. With the Spirit of God at work, there is not only new work to do but also the power to do it!
